Dorothy Hargett, Access Services Supervisor, presents at national conference

The software that runs the Library system is called Millennium by Innovative Interfaces. The Innovative Users Group holds an annual conference where member libraries can exchange ideas on getting the most out of Millennium. This year the conference convened in Anaheim, California in May. Supervisor of Access Services Dorothy Hargett was selected through a juried process to give a presentation on improving customer satisfaction in libraries. The title of Dorothy’s presentation was “Circulation and the Truth about Customer Service.” It was an informative, fun, and interactive exchange of ideas on how better to serve library patrons, complete with video clips and scenarios for participant discussion. Dorothy states, “I look forward to implementing some of the strategies and ideas I learned to improve the service and care of the Regent University Library community.”

We are thrilled that Dorothy represented the library and Regent University at this national conference with 1000 attendees. Congratulations Dorothy!
