Summer is the time for reading for pleasure and enrichment, and this year the Library Book Club offers the Regent Community two great opportunities to read and share ideas.
In May and June, we will read Jane Austen’s Emma, considered by many critics to be her most perfectly constructed novel. Dr. Susannah Clements, Chair of the Department of Language & Literature will lead two discussions on one of the summits of English literature.
In July, we will read Snitch, the new novel by Booker T. Mattison, assistant professor in the Department of Cinema-Television. Prof. Mattison will lead our discussion of his book.
Here is the summer schedule of book discussions:
- Friday, June 3rd at 12:00: Emma
- Friday, July 8th at 12:00: Emma
- Thursday, July 28th at 12:00: Snitch
-
All discussions will take place in the Library Conference Room, located inside Library Administration. For more information about the Library Book Club, contact harohen@regent.edu.
