Trial databases

The Library currently has trial subscriptions to six databases:


  • IBISWorld (expires on November 3, 2012)
    The United States’ most comprehensive collection of Industry Market Research and Industry Risk Ratings. IBISWorld’s industry analyses help you to understand market conditions and forecasts, supply chains, competition and risk within an industry. On-campus users log in via the above link; off-campus users request a password from
  • Passport GMID (expires on October 31, 2012)
    Euromonitor International’s award-winning global market information database contains comprehensive data and reports across industries, countries, and consumers. Euromonitor International is the world leader in strategy research for consumer markets.
  • PrivCo (expires on October 31, 2012)
    Business and financial data on major, non-publicly traded corporations, including family owned, private equity owned, venture backed, and international unlisted companies.


  • CQ Press Almanac (expires on Novenber 1, 2012)
    Coverage and analysis of U.S. congressional legislation from. In-depth analysis of the path legislation takes through Congress, including how bills are changed, derailed, or ultimately passed during an annual session of Congress.

Religion & Divinity

Social Sciences (Business & Management, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Education, Media & Communications, Politics and International Relations, Psychology)

Sage: Knowledge (expires on November 8, 2012)

  • Digital Library in the Social Sciences from Sage. With more than 2,500 titles, it includes an expansive range of SAGE e-book and e-reference content, including scholarly monographs, reference works, handbooks, series, professional development titles, and more.

The Library strives to spend its electronic resources budget on databases that best support the research of Regent students, staff, and faculty.     A positive comment on Privco database: I was struggling for hours trying to find annual revenues and owners of 4 privately held non-publicly traded fashion companies (J. Crew (U.S.) Chanel (France), Armani (Italy),and Charles Thyrwitt (UK). I saw the library link to privco and found all the revenues on all 4 and downloaded in just 5 minutes! Love Privco and thank thank you library for pointing me in the right direction!
