A new display, “Alumni Authors Featured from the Library Collections,” is on exhibit in the Library. The works of fifteen Regent graduates from 1995 to 2008 are highlighted. One of the works, The Ultimate Gift, is a screenplay written by Cheryl McKay (MA, School of Communications & the Arts, 1995). The film, based on the novel by Jim Stovall, tells the story of an inheritance that comes with conditions and a spoiled heir’s education and discovery about the important things in life. Winner of the Heartland Film Festival’s Crystal Heart Award, The Ultimate Gift features an Oscar-worthy cast and has sold over 1.5 million DVD copies.
Seven Keys to Hearing God’s Voice, by Craig von Buseck (MA, School of Communication & the Arts, 1998), is an interactive study guide outlining principles for distinguishing God’s voice and recognizing His direction. The book may be used in a group setting as a ten-week Bible study course or for personal study. Dr. von Buseck is currently Ministries Director for CBN.com.
A Biblical Approach to Developing the Inner Qualities of a Leader, by Jacqueline Faulhaber (DSL, 2008, School of GLE) explains leadership as “an outcome or manifestation of a person’s character.” The book is based on Dr. Faulhaber’s doctoral project for her degree in Strategic Leadership. Dr. Faulhaber currently resides in South Dakota and serves as a professor in the School of Political Science at the University of South Dakota.
We are proud of all our alumni accomplishments in print and film. Come and have a look. The exhibit will continue through the last week of November.
