In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Library will be hosting a special exhibit which will highlight titles in our collection regarding Hispanic studies. A representative bibliography has been compiled by Georgianne Bordner, Assistant Technical Services Librarian. Please stop by between September 15 and October 15 to view the exhibit!
“The Hispanic population is calculated around 45 million nationwide. Studies show a trend of a growing demand for college education from this segment. For instance, in our undergrad program Hispanics represent 7.31% of new students, compared to 1.96% for 2005-06. As more and more people in this country can claim to be of Hispanic origin, there is a need to learn and to understand the origins and diversity of Hispanic people. These resources can help the reader to accomplish this.”
