Written by Sandra Yaegle, Head of Public ServicesThe University Library announces an exhibit commemorating the work of Kenneth A. Kavale (1946-2008). Dr. Kavale was Distinguished Professor of Special Education in the Regent School of Education. A renowned scholar of learning disability, emotional and behavioral disorder, intellectual disability, and special education policy, Dr. Kavale published over 200 articles, chapters, and books during his productive career, and was a pioneer in the application of meta-analysis methodology to education research.
The material on display showcases his research on learning disability, emotional and behavioral disorder, and special education policy. The exhibit is located in the display cases on the right (next to the illuminated globe) as you enter the Library. As part of the exhibit, the memorial service for Dr. Kavale on January 22, 2009 may be seen on the Library kiosk, next to the display.
