Christian Higher Education in the Global Context is an account of the proceedings of the 2006 meeting of the International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education, at which 144 members, representing 34 countries, met in Granada, Nicaragua for their seventh annual conference. The book’s chapters are taken from papers presented at the conference.
In keeping with the format of the conference, the addresses are divided into three tracks:
- Bridging the gap between opposing worldviews and cultures.
- How Christian higher education can promote educational well-being.
- How to connect “Kingdom Citizenship” to specific regional issues and concerns.
All of the addresses are followed-up with responses from other members. Christian Higher Education in the Global Context comprises a rigorous discussion of the issues and trends that are impacting Christian higher education in today’s global, post-modern world. The book is prefaced with background information about the association.
